On top of the Melia Hotel, MAI offers the best view in Chiang Mai—hands down. Sometimes you’ll need to prepay a voucher, but you can spend it on drinks or food. Speaking of food, you can grab dinner right there on the rooftop or in the restaurant below. Call ahead—they're often fully booked. At the time of writing, the bar is being renovated and is temporarily closed, but it’s expected to reopen soon.

You’d never find this place by accident. It’s hidden, and when you first walk in, it kind of feels like you’re sneaking into someone’s apartment—or maybe a squat. Cocktails are top-tier, bartenders are true professionals, and the vibe is just... special. Not a big place, so definitely worth calling ahead.

It might not be as “fancy” as the others, but this one’s easily the most creative. The bartenders don’t serve generic Whiskey Sours or Margaritas—instead, every drink is an original creation. This is the place for cocktail lovers who want something different and local.
